Natasha: I do admit it was somewhat impetuous of me, but… I couldn’t just let you— …ha. Ha ha ha ha!
Janet: Why are you laughing? What’s so funny? We’re going to die!
Natasha: Yes, probably! But…I have no control! None! It’s so funny! I feel so weightless.If you accept that Natasha’s central heroic premise is one of control— that as an agent she had control of her own life taken away from her, and so now she does everything she can to never lose that control again— then this scene is kind of a fleeting (and freeing) escape from that obligation. And wow, holy run on sentence, Batman!
